The library holds books and more in Davis Family Library and Armstrong Library. Books are shelved according to the Library of Congress (LC) Classification Scheme, which is an organizational system commonly used in academic and research libraries.
You can search for books in our libraries using MIDCAT (go/midcat/), our online catalog. Carefully type a keyword, book title, or author's name into the search bar to see what books we have based on your search. The results will provide the book's call number as well as its status, so you'll know if it's already checked out to someone else.
Faculty can place books, articles, and other media "on reserve" at the library. These items circulate for a shorter loan period to allow everyone in a class to access course materials.
Our scholarly e-books are listed in LibrarySearch and MIDCAT. Each e-book provider has its own solution for accessing e-books, to learn more about reading e-books, visit our e-book guide. The library also offers e-books and audiobooks for popular reading using Overdrive. These items are not findable in the library catalogs, but you can search this collection at go/overdrive/.
