There's a plethora of media bias charts and lists that purport to indicate the degree to which media sources lean left, center, or right and everything in between. Which ones are the most trustworthy or accurate?
Considerations:
- Who is creating the list or chart and how objective is that source?
- What is their stated purpose?
- Is it a commercial or nonprofit site? Is it affiliated with any organizations?
- Who is citing the chart or list? What are a wide range of other sources saying about it?
- What methodology and data are they using as a basis of the chart / list? Is it based on public opinion or analysis of content or something else?
