When evaluating the resource, look at when they last published an issue or work, the qualifications of the editors, and the biographies of the contributors. Most importantly, check out the most recent issue and decide what you think of the work they produce.

Where are magazines and journals at the library?

Library Map: Periodicals

  • Current periodicals (journals and magazines) are located on the Lower Level of the Davis Family Library. 
  • Popular magazines are on display behind the cushy blue chairs of the Harmon Periodicals Reading Area. All other journals and magazines are displayed in alphabetical order on the shelving behind.
  • The most recent issue only is displayed. Raise the shelf cover to see back issues.
  • Older issues are bound into books and shelved behind Current Periodicals.
  • Current periodicals  are library use only. Bound periodicals can be checked out of the library.
