LibrarySearch Overview

A guide introducing the various features of the new LibrarySearch interface

What is LibrarySearch?

LibrarySearch is a search engine covering nearly all of what is available via Middlebury Libraries, including physical and online resources.

Start by searching a few keywords, then narrow your results using the facets on the left side of the results screen. Log in with your Middlebury username and password to renew books, save records to a permanent list, request articles through interlibrary loan, or access the full LibrarySearch results from off campus.

Although LibrarySearch is the most comprehensive single search tool for library resources, you might also want to search one or more of our individual databases, since many of them can provide a more focused search and not all of the functionality specific to each database can be used in LibrarySearch.
