Information about various e-book packages available through the Middlebury Library

Collection Description

The SpringerLink e-book collection (go/springerlink/) contains over 125,000 titles, primarily in the fields of science, technology, and medicine.  For more detailed information about SpringerLink titles, including the range of holdings and collections, please follow this link.

Devices

SpringerLink e-books can be read on and downloaded to most devices, including:

  • PCs
  • Macs
  • iOS devices (iPhones/iPads)
  • Android devices

 

Downloads

Most SpringerLink titles are free from digital rights management (DRM), meaning they can be used by multiple readers simultaneously.  Titles are also available in two primary formats

  • Adobe PDF formats
  • EPUB format.

Please note: Kindle readers will read PDF documents, but they do not directly support EPUB format.  However, the EPUB format can be converted to Kindle's proprietary MOBI format by using Calibre ebook software.

To download a SpringerLink e-book, simply select a title and choose the format you prefer:

Printing

Once downloaded as a PDF file, a chapter, or pages from a chapter, SpringerLink e-books can be easily printed from the Adobe software.  There are no page limits.
